About Kate

I was born and raised in Westchester County New York in a small town called North Tarrytown, New York, Now known a Sleepy Hollow. 

I performed in my first play when I was 12 years old and it was an instant love affair! Through the years I have worked in all areas of the theater: administrative, technical and creative. I directed my first play when I was 19 and realized that directing was what I was most passionate about doing BUT I also realized that to be a truly great director that I had much to learn! 

For the next decade I worked in as many different areas of theater as I could to learn about the jobs and the people I would be directing! 

Then, I directed, I taught, I consulted on new works and loved every second of any time I was working in the arts!

Then in 2015 I was challenged to find a new way for my creative outlet! Due to a severe infection that developed after a knee replacement I was sidelined from doing what I loved most! Through multiple surgeries to save both my leg and my life I was often made to be off my feet or even hospitalized for weeks at a time. So to keep my creative mind from going crazy, I wrote! 

I wrote A LOT!

The strange part of it all is that if I had not gotten sick, I would never have discovered the amazing world of being a playwright and lately a screenwriter too!

On this site are my latest projects. Like most writers I have many others but these are the ones that I am really interested in developing right now. Please take a look and should any of my projects strike your interest and you would like to hear more about them, please feel free to contact me!
